  1. Unfortunately, I couldn't get this article to scan clearly. There is a horrible bleed through from a picture on the other side.  So, I posted the text below. I would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff of MBJ but especially Staff Reporter, Chris Sheffield.

Good Women, Stand Up and Be Counted

It's said you can't keep a good man down. Former radio producer-turned writer, voice-over performer and blogger Jae Henderson is all about building good women up. Under the banner "I'm A Good Woman," Henderson has launced a web site, e-newsletter, blog, a line of products and hopes to have her first novel, published in May.

Henderson is the former producer and co-host of WHRK/K97 radio station's talk show "On Point," which debuted in 2000. Henderson targeted youth and young adults and "encouraged them to live a life of success while minding their morals." It's the same inspiration an motivational spirit she wanted to bring to Imagoodwoman.com, which she started in April and describes "as a blog on steroids."

The blog features a section titled "Jae's Picks" touting local foods, music and resources, as well as tips on unusual and fun entertainment events in the Memphis area and a store that sells I'm a Good Woman merchandise. It currently has 300 e-news subscribers.

In the summer, Henderson added a feature on one woman making a difference and a spotlight on "intelligent and talent man" who understands the value of a good woman. "Each of us has the ability to accomplish great things and I just wanted to motivate and inspire women to tap into that greatness and achieve something wonderful," Henderson says. "I believe one of the best ways to do that is to highlight women who are doing great things in our community and others."
